Established in 1995, Haitian Cultural Awareness Week (HCAW) is a month long festival during the month of May specifically designed to foster pride and self esteem for Haitian American youth through the exhibition of Haitian culture, art and history so that they may gain an enhanced social and cultural perspective of their homeland, Haiti.
